Hello JEDI Students and Families! Welcome to Our Classroom!
My name is Mrs. Albrecht, and I am beyond thrilled to be a teacher at JEDI Virtual School! Welcome to our awesome school community. I am happy you are here.
I joined the JEDI Team in 2020 as an Elementary Teacher in fifth grade and third grade. I am now a first and second grade teacher, along with a sixth and seventh grade English Language Arts teacher. I truly love teaching with JEDI and getting to build positive, meaningful, and fun relationships with my students! I also love reading and writing, so I am excited to be teaching my fantastic first graders, super second graders and English Language Arts readers/writers. See below with some of my favorite reads. 
Here are some fun facts all about me:
- I live in Lake Mills, WI in a cute green house with my husband, two little girls named Agnes and Hattie, and little boy named Gregory.
- My favorite picture books (along with my kids' favorites for me to read aloud to them), are "No David" by David Shannon, "Madeline" by Ludwig Bemelmans, and all "Llama Llama" books by Anna Dewdney. I also love to share my joy of PaperPie books with my children. A few of our favorites are the Nibbles series, Shine - a - Light series, fairytale classics, and nonfiction exploring books.
- My favorite middle school chapter books are "The Thief of Always" by Clive Barker (fantasy) and "Behind the Bedroom Wall" by Laura E. Williams (historical fiction). I also love the Lord of the Rings series and Harry Potter.
- My favorite food is sushi! I really enjoy trying new sushi restaurants and trying new sushi rolls.
- My favorite things to do during my free time are to spend time with my family, explore new parks and zoos with our little kiddos, watch HGTV home improvement shows on Magnolia Network, and try cooking new recipes.
