Who Is Eligible to Enroll?
All Wisconsin Residents are eligible to enroll in the JEDI Virtual School.
The first step is to complete this application
Your next steps will be determined by whether or not you are a resident of a consortium district, or need to apply through Open Enrollment to attend JEDI. See below for next steps.
Resident of a Consortium District:
Any JEDI Consortium District student grades PK- 12 may enroll in the JEDI Virtual School. To determine if you are eligible to enroll as a resident see the list of Consortium Districts. JEDI Consortium District students who attend private schools or are home-schooled must enroll in their district and then enroll in JEDI Virtual School. Each district has their own process for attending JEDI. Our advisors can help you through the process.
All Other Students Residing in Wisconsin:
The Wisconsin School Choice Law enables the student to attend a school district other than the one in which they live. If you do not reside in one of the consortium districts but are interested in enrolling your child in the JEDI Virtual School you may apply to open enroll to Marshall School District during the regular open enrollment period for the following school year. Open enrollment procedures can be found at http://dpi.wi.gov/open-enrollment.
During the school year the Alternative Open Enrollment Application may be available to enroll in JEDI. Check the DPI website for more information.
What Happens Once a Student Enrolls?
Once a family is notified that enrollment is confirmed, a meeting will be scheduled with the student, parent, consortium school counselor and a JEDI advisor. The JEDI Advisor will provide the family and student a JEDI Orientation. The team will design the student’s Personal Education Plan. Course requests will be submitted for the courses selected. The JEDI orientation presentation will be shared with the family. Students and Parents will receive login credentials to access all of their courses. Teachers will introduce themselves via email and video, and the student will begin coursework! Each week the team will receive a progress report that outlines the student's progress and attendance.
