Are you looking for a way to get involved this year at JEDI Virtual School, but not sure what we offer or what these activities are all about? Getting involved can be so much FUN! JEDI offers the following exciting activities for you to get involved in!
Battle of the Books - Battle of the Books is an exciting team reading challenge, culminating in a statewide, online “battle” to find the teams who know the books the best! At our club meetings, we discuss our books and play games to prepare for the ultimate battle at the end of the season. Our JEDI middle school inaugural team performed in the top 35% of all teams!
Forensics/Speech - Forensics is an activity for students who are interested in acting/theatre, current events, history, public speaking, literature, or debate. Our JEDI Forensics Team works with our experienced Forensics coach who helps students develop & polish their recorded performances, submitted to the statewide competition in the spring. Adjudicators provide feedback at every competition level, and students continue to refine their performance with the support of their JEDI Forensics coach.
Civic Engagement Club - Civic engagement involves working to make a difference in the civic life of one's community and developing the combination of knowledge, skills, values, and motivation to make that difference. JEDI middle and high school students come together to participate in group and individual projects of their choice, such as making digital cards for patients at the Childrens' Hospitals, notes of encouragement for Meals on Wheels, paint Kindness Rocks and more.
