Reading Comprehension is a
ONE SEMESTER course.
The course
is divided into five sections, Pre-Reading, The Reading Stages Approach, The
Case Approach, Reading a Novel, and Post-Reading. Students will be introduced to
two different approaches to reading comprehension, starting slowly with small
reading portions such as advertisements, fables, and short stories and gradually
move to a novel.
The main objective of this course, is to help students develop
skills and tools to become strong, confident and successful readers
through several different reading comprehension techniques and use them
effectively in real-life reading situations.
