Physical Education II - 0.5 credit

This course continues the focus on the fundamental components and principles of fitness by examining safety guidelines, proper technique, and exercise principles. Students will assess their current level of fitness in relation to the five components of physical fitness: flexibility, cardiovascular health, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and body composition. Physical Education II will provide the student an opportunity to compose an individualized, developmentally appropriate, and personally challenging fitness program that will advance their knowledge, confidence, skills and motivation needed to engage in a lifelong, healthy, active lifestyle.

 

Pre-requisite: PE I                               Grade: 10-12
