Welcome to JEDI Virtual School Coaching !

Learning Coaches are an integral part of the JEDI Virtual High School learning experience.

You provide a link between the student, their parents, the student’s teachers, and the JEDI staff.

You pull together all of the student’s progress information, questions, and concerns and filter them out to the appropriate people.

You also function as the primary adult “cheerleader” to encourage your students to remain on pace , assist them when they struggle, and pat them on the back when they are being successful.

Over time, you will develop routines and tools that are unique to your coaching style and the needs of you individual students, but this tutorial will give you a solid base on which to build your coaching foundation.

Throughout this tutorial we will offer tools that have worked for others in the past. Give them a try. Revise them as you wish to meet your needs.

We also hope you will feel at ease in making suggestions and adding your best practices to the tutorial to benefit others as they get started.
